BusMagus is an online booking platform for bus and coach travel. It is operated by Magus Group Albania, a company registered in Tirana, Albania, and it belongs to a group whose parent companies are based in London, United Kingdom and Rome, Italy (Magus Group srls). The people who run the platform day to day work in Tirana and Rome. The company brings together experience in transport, software and payments gathered across those three cities, and it puts that experience to work on one problem: making it as easy to find and book a coach across the Balkans and into the rest of Europe as it already is to book a flight.
We do not own buses. The coaches you book through BusMagus are run by licensed bus operators, each with its own timetable, its own prices and its own drivers. What we provide is the shelf they all sit on. You search a departure and a destination, and every operator running that journey appears side by side with its departure times, duration, stops, on-board amenities, verified passenger reviews and price. You choose, you pay by card, and the ticket arrives by email in the operator's language and in English, with a code the driver recognises on the day. The same service is available in our mobile apps for iPhone and Android and in fifteen languages.
Coach travel in this part of Europe is one of the most useful transport networks on the continent and, for a long time, one of the hardest to use from a distance. Timetables lived on posters at the station, prices were learned by asking, and the only certain way to know whether a seat was free was to turn up. Our mission is to put every coach in the region, from every company, on one timetable with a real price and a real seat, bookable in a few minutes from wherever you are, in your own language, and to do it in a way that is fair to the operators whose coaches make it possible.
We measure ourselves against a short list. Complete coverage: every route that runs should be findable here. Honest information: the times you see are the operator's own, the prices are the operator's own with nothing added by us, and the reviews were written by people who actually travelled. Fair partnership: an operator keeps control of its timetable, its prices and its seats, sees every booking the moment it is made and is settled clearly and on time. Real support: when something goes wrong, a person answers. And steady improvement: a great deal of what changes on the platform comes directly from what passengers and operators write to us.
Operators publish their routes, schedules and fares through their own login and can update them at any time. Travel agencies sell the same inventory to their own customers through agency accounts. Technology partners connect to our API or embed our booking widget on their own sites. Passengers see all of it as one timetable. When a booking is made the seat is held while you pay, the operator is notified, and the ticket is issued. Cancellation and change rules are the operator's, shown before you pay; the optional Flexible Ticket add-on lets you buy the freedom to change your plans where the operator allows it.
More operators, more countries and more of the small conveniences that make a long journey pleasant. If you run a bus company, we would like to talk to you. If you are a passenger with an idea or a complaint, we read everything that arrives through our Help pages. Thank you for travelling with us.
